After years in corporate IT and HR, local builder and handyman Paul made a bold move—he left behind boardrooms and burnout to return to his roots in the trades. With a growing family and a need for more space, he built his own home rather than sign up for a massive mortgage. That decision laid the foundation for Sandgate Home Services.
Based in Brighton, Paul is now a licensed builder and real estate buyer’s agent, who is passionate about “saving homes with good bones” rather than see older houses torn down.
Paul helps locals stay in their homes and buyers realise the value of the traditional houses of the area. Paul provides smart, sustainable solutions like building granny flats, refreshing bathrooms, raising homes, and he even consults to local owner builders and buyers. Living locally for over 20 years with his wife and two teenagers, the family are intertwined with the community. These days, Paul rarely works outside the 4017 postcode— only crossing bridges for building materials!
What sets Paul apart is his genuine care for people, the environment, and the community.
